Patient Care Technician, Urgent Care - Kulpsville
Full Time, Variable - 3 12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holiday

Responsibilities
Under the administrative direction of the Grand View Urgent Care LLC and the Urgent Care Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician, Urgent Care – Kulpsville functions in the Urgent Care Center to support and assist the staff in providing care to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.Essential Functions:
- Assists patients entering the Urgent Care treatment area.
- Assists in preparation of patients for examination.
- Obtains and documents vital signs and measures and records visual acuity.
- Performs and documents blood glucose monitoring.
- Performs and documents urine reagent testing and other waived tests applicable to patient care.
- Performs wound cleansing.
- Prepares equipment and supplies for laceration repair.
- Applies dressings, splints and orthopedic appliances; measures for crutches.
- Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Performs venipuncture with or without placement of angiocath.
- Restocks and cleans patient care areas.
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, every third weekend and every third holiday.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma/GED required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 weeks of hire required.
