Sterile Processing Technician - Supplies Processing and Distribution
Full Time, 2:30pm-11pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
Under the general supervision, the Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, storing and delivering medical/surgical supplies and equipment. The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the reprocessing of all sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments and equipment for surgery and other hospital units. The Sterile Processing Tech ia responsible for manual cleaning and decontamination, operating the mechanical washers and sonic units, testing autoclaves for efficiency and maintaining compliant records. They assist in the recall process as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma/GED required.
- One year of hospital experience preferred.
- Certification required to be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Understands decontamination and sterilization procedures.
- Maintains records of sterility testing and work statistics.
